About the Producer
Sourced from smallholder producers in the high-altitude regions surrounding Jaén in northern Peru’s Cajamarca region, this coffee is shaped by rich volcanic soils, tropical rainfall, and an ideal growing climate - all key ingredients for exceptional Arabica.
Many of the producers contributing to this blend work independently, harvesting coffee mid-season and processing it on their farms using traditional methods. Cherries are hand-pulped, fermented, and carefully dried on patios or raised beds before being delivered as parchment coffee to Falcon’s Jaén warehouse.
Since establishing Falcon Peru SARL in 2018, additional drying facilities and a dedicated QC lab have been introduced to support producers in improving consistency and preserving cup quality.
By managing the journey from farm to export, this coffee meets the standards of Falcon’s Blueprint Project - ensuring traceability and fair value for every producer involved. Peru is also the origin of Falcon’s Carbon Project, an initiative launched in 2022 to better understand and reduce carbon emissions at farm level.
